SEO Consultant

At Session Interactive, we run a fully remote digital marketing agency focused on SEO, Analytics, and Paid Lead Generation. We are looking for a strong SEO team member to help improve our client results and also our own internal SEO performance.

We are an exciting, fast-growing company with ample opportunity for advancement and long-term compensation potential for someone who’s great at the role and a good fit with our culture (fun, driven, entrepreneurial).

This is a part-time role with the potential to turn into full-time for the right person. We’re looking for someone with experience creating strong results for mid-market and enterprise businesses.

This role will start out at roughly 10-20 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Determining effective SEO strategies for our clients and setting goals around keywords, pages, rankings, etc.
  • Taking the lead role on performing “SEO Roadmaps” for clients (a detailed SEO audit and strategy)
  • Quarterly reporting back to clients on the progress we’ve made on our SEO goals as well as identifying potential areas for improvement
  • Communicating client details to our SEO operations team on Slack & Google Sheets regarding various SEO project-based and campaign-related tasks
  • Improving our own SEO at Session Interactive

Expectations:

  • Be active on our slack channel and fairly responsive – doesn’t have to be immediate, but ideally, you can reply within a couple of hours.
  • Meet and strategize with clients on regularly scheduled weekly video conference meetings
  • Email clients directly regarding SEO strategy and ongoing tasks
  • Hours don’t have to be strictly within 9 am-5 pm, but availability during the normal working hours is ideal to adhere to client schedules as needed
    • Primary hours are within the MST timezone
  • Occasionally hop on sales prospect as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • English as a first language is preferred, but not required.

Skills we're looking for:

  • Excellent understanding of overall SEO – both on-page, off-page, and technical and proven experience getting results for clients
  • Solid understanding of link building and anchor text selection
  • Advanced working knowledge of the following tools:
    • GSC and GA
    • Ahrefs, SEMrush, ScreamingFrog, etc
    • Google Trends
    • Basic SERP
    • All Google products including, slides, docs, and sheets
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Gets things done on time (if you say X will be good to go on Thursday, it gets done on Thursday)

Pay:

  • Compensation based on experience
